Music holds an important place in God's Word as an instrument of praise and instruction.  The focus of Patch the Pirate Club is building character in the lives of children, using music as the tool.  It is our goal to help your child grow spiritually and have fun doing so!

At each weekly club meeting, one particular Godly Character Trait will be emphasized during the rehearsal of the song and during the Bible lesson time.  Basic music theory and musicianship is taught during a short learning time called the "music lesson."

The sailors may earn up to nine award pins for their monthly attendance and three yellow fabric stars to stick on their hats for the three devotion books they complete, including learning their monthly verses.

Each sailor has a Sailor Log Book.  This student workbook contains music for the songs, Scripture memory, "fun pages," music theory activity pages and, most importantly, a devotion guide for each day of the school year.

Our club meetings are held on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 p.m.  The cost of joining includes three books, a hat, and contribution to our four parties a year and extra weekly awards the sailors can earn, like the Super Sailor award.

At each weekly meeting, and at each monthly performance, the children wear a uniform of navy blue pants/skirt, white shirt, red sash, and sailor hat or beret.  The performances consist of singing the song the children learned that particular month, quoting the monthly verse, and a short skit for the church congregation to enjoy.
